***********************************************************

How much experience do you have?

I have been writing and editing professionally and exclusively for five years; however, I have been doing both since I first became obsessed with words at the age of three. My education has consisted of numerous writing and secretarial classes, as well as a two-year intensive course in writing for children. As a longtime employee in the administrative field and the former owner of a secretarial service, I have performed writing, proofreading, editing word- and data-processing services for a multitude of employers and clients. Because there's much more than I can share here, a resume will be provided upon your request.

What type of writing do you do?

This can vary from month-to-month, even day-to-day, and there are very few types of writing I don't enjoy. I am currently co-authoring a manuscript and working on my recent articles, in addition to performing various editing jobs. I have had my work published online as well as in national print publications.

What editorial services do you offer?

Every piece of work is different, which is one of my favorite aspects of this business. While some may require only a light proofreading, others may need to be completely rewritten for clarity and/or salability. Most fall somewhere between the two extremes.

What is your turnaround time?

This varies according to the type of work, as well as my current workload. For editing, time frames can range anywhere from 24 hours for proofreading a resume to 60 days for editing a book-length manuscript. Regardless, I pride myself on my flexibility and always do my best to work within my clients' time frames. Please note that rush jobs may cost more.

Do you guarantee your work?

Always. My work is fully guaranteed. I have yet to not meet a client's standards, but should I fail to do so, satisfying that person would be my first priority.

Why should I choose you over your competition?

I hear repeatedly from my clients how much they appreciate my enthusiasm, quality of work, and quick turnaround time. I am certain you'll be happy with the professional, friendly manner in which you are treated, and that I don't let work leave my hands until it's in the finest possible shape...for a great rate!

Does it take you a millennium to return phone calls and e-mails?

With my busy professional and family life, I know how valuable every second of the day is. Your phone call or e-mail will be returned at my earliest convenience, usually in less than 24 hours. There are exceptions, as I too enjoy weekends and vacations with my family; however, you can be assured that I'll get back to you as quickly as possible.

Is there any cost or obligation for an estimate?

Never. Estimates are provided free of charge. Even after a contract is signed, you are allowed at least 48 hours to change your mind.

What is the process for submitting my work?

Please provide me with an idea, no matter how vague or precise, of the work to be done.

If you require an estimate, please provide me with a sample of the work.

Let me know your time frame for having the work completed, and I will give you an approximate date of completion. (Please note that a definitive deadline sometimes cannot be determined until the work is 10-25% finished.)

Should we agree to proceed, a contract will be prepared. A deposit of at least 25% (50% for smaller jobs) is required before work can begin. While work is not typically returned until the balance is paid, I am flexible and often accept payment plans.

What types of payment do you accept?

I accept checks or money orders. If you’d like to pay online, I'm PayPal Verified . Because I typically don’t begin work until a deposit is received, this will speed up the process.
